Multi Agent System Model of Supply Chain for Information Sharing

The proposed work focus on the significance and benefits of operating supply chains as an integral part of the modern manufacturing enterprises and also the importance of information sharing as the major requirement for the effective functioning of supply chains. In order to provide the necessary information technology support for the supply chains, the basic concepts and features of agent technology has been evaluated in order to determine its suitability for the management of supply chains. An overview of multi agent model for the supply chain is presented and also the integrated functioning of certain agents resulting in information sharing is also demonstrated.
